As a founder of an international development charity, former consultant working with UK charities and social enterprises in the UK and former executive director of a non-government organisation working towards rural development in India, I hold a wealth of experience of both the rewards and intense pressures of working in mission driven environments. I have also experienced first-hand how working incredibly hard for a vision and mission so much greater than oneself can result in leaders neglecting or prioritising their own needs.

A deeper understanding
I understand what it takes as a social entrepreneur to build an organisation from nothing, following one’s deeply held convictions to work towards social justice and environmental health and I understand the resource, decision-making and management pressures of both senior leaders and teams in this field.
As a graduate with an MBA from Oxford University focussing on Social Entrepreneurship, I have an innate understanding of the mechanics from marketing to fundraising to project management of triple bottom line businesses and organisations and I have worked within and alongside top level organisations, thought leaders and entrepreneurs.
I now see many parallels with the work I led in the charity and social impact space. Enabling others to have the voice and the tools to develop themselves and to shift their lives from aspects of suffering to empowerment and sustainability has been the bedrock of my career and is the mission of the charity, PhotoVoice, I co-founded, when I was 20 years old. I am passionate now about enabling entrepreneurs, leaders and teams working in this field to ensure they are working from a place of personal and professional health, clarity, focus and alignment so their incredibly important work is as impactful, connected, robust, visionary and ultimately impactful as it can possibly be.
